It's coming

It is soooo exciting, the quilt is quilted, and I love the design i chose, i have to bind it, attach my flower, do some beading and it should be done to show at the guild meeting. An original design, but also a totally new idea, and perhaps one never done before in quilting. I am sooo excited to see the response I get from my mom and close quilting friends. As it is so different, a very very 3D quilt.

5 am

Up bright and early to do my wod before Bob left. Haven't quilted in 2 weeks, at a point where it is going to be nervewracking, so putting it off. But must get at it, as had a brain wave for more ideas for quilts and the craft foam. Plus I much prefer to quilt in the daytime, but there is no time for that with 2 little boys to play with.

Dyeing again

I dyed some beautiful velour and love the effect it produced. It is to be used in my president's challenge for the guild. We have to pick a season and make a quilt from it. So this is one of my dyed fabrics for it.

Fun with my boys

My boys are just the light of my life. They are funny and sweet and totally cute! This was taken at the African Lion Safari in June. I have been deliberating over making a quilt of giraffes. I think it would be very fun to do.

Too funky to cut

What do you do, when you are so in love with the material, that you just don't know the best way to use it? I like to put it somewhere, so that every time I walk into my studio I see it, and hope to heck inspiration hits!

Petals are ready!

Finished making all the petals yesterday, now am really quilting in the dark, the whole quilt has been a learn as you go process, but this will be tough trying to join them all together.

Mom and dad leave for a funeral tomorrow. So sad, 3 weeks ago they had a lovely friend, now cancer has taken her.

Fun Fun Fun

Played outside and inside today, babysat a little cousin and had other cousins come by for supper.

A nice time with everyone.

I saw this quilt or wallhanging in an advertisement, and all it said was 3b jennings, so i clipped it out as it is so different and lovely. If I ever find out who did it, I will certainly post it.

Off to Espanola today with my cousin and her babe. My main goal was sheets of craft foam. And no store had them, finally drove all the way back to Little Current and sure enough they had it. But had a fun time and laughed alot.
Here is yet another drawer of my embellishing stuff. Transfer paints, dyes and soft kut boards.

Quiet on the Home Front

My big boy complained of a tummy ache, so had a 2 hour nap, after sunday school we all just hung out. I did bend my petals and am totally loving the results, now am a bit nervous as to how to attach them all.

I learned the embroidery stem stitch and made a couple of angels. I don't know how I am going to use them in a quilt. I had thought a center panel, but have no idea what I would put around them. Certainly not traditional blocks=)
My oldest is all better and we are going to try #2 attempt at JK tomorrow.

Jammer Purse

This is my jammer purse. Good for the environment, recycling. My son is leaving for school in 2 days, JK, but it seems like the start of them breaking my heart.
