Rain Storm

Our snow is almost gone, due to high winds and rain last nite and today. We enjoyed a day inside and loved it. The boys played all day and were great.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

What a great day spending it with family. We were able to partake in festivities with both sides of the family and ate turkey twice! Everyone had a wonderful time and my youngest asked if Santa was coming again tomorrow.

Hockey

What a great workout and what a fun time. Ladies hockey tonite and really skated hard and burned a ton of calories. Which is good as I came home at 10 pm and made tea biscuits for hubby and friend and of course ate a few.

A Snow Day

A day of snow. I still went out with the truck to visit my grandma this afternoon. Then made my mom's famous meat tortiere pies for supper. I used venison and they were terrific. I am working on a new quilt, using my super batting that does wonders. And the fabric is totally funky. I also made up 2jammer purses for a girl and her 4 yr old daughter that collect them for me at the school she works at.

Blind River and Back

Up to blind river for my what I thought was last dental appointment, only to find out the lab made a mistake, so have to go again in 2 weeks. What a bummer. 6 hours of the day gone.

Fresh Air

Spent the last few days outside with my children. The snow is plentiful and the sliding is second to none. Plus my little stinkers are real daredevils on the hill. They continue to try and snowboard on their new sleds. Not a pretty outcome. But I love that they love being outside and are not stuck in front of the tv all day in the winter.

Christmas is in 14 days and I actually think I am ready. All my gifts are wrapped in newspaper or magazines and in their appropriate boxes for each of the families.

It should be an exciting time for my children.

Jammer Time

I made these two jammer bags last nite. One to go to my son's school to show what they can be used for. In an attempt to inspire kids to recycle their garbage. My son is in JK and it is never too young to teach them about saving and protecting our environment. Plus they are alot of fun to make and easy.

Recycling Plastic Bags

I have discovered I can melt plastic bags together, so one evening made a demo of how to do this. I am thrilled with the results. I am going to explore this further and see what kind of quilted items I can make with recycled plastic bags. I have shown a makeup bag below.
