Does this not look so comfy? It is very thick soft wool yarn couched directly onto bamboo batting. It does make you wonder why more quilters don't use batting on their art quilts. I can see why they wouldn't on bed quilts. But on an art quilt that hangs on the wall, the texture created is second to none.

Jackie... try painting your batting for art quilts... very fun. I used my painted and embellished batt when I made my chatelaine... 'Wear your Art'... it is under tutorials on my blog...
